Hello, my name is Matthias Maurer, I am the head chef at the restaurant 'Frames'.
My journey began in 2001 with my training as a cook. Over the last 20 years, I have worked in various restaurants and hotels in Germany and Switzerland, further developing my love for creative cuisine. I focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients and enjoy combining traditional recipes with modern techniques. I prefer to stay puristic to keep the focus on the essence of my dishes. I particularly like to integrate new flavor combinations and simple components into my cooking.
At home, I enjoy cooking with my children, and I also use my free time to experiment with new dishes. I am particularly looking forward to the new challenge here at the Frames Hotel, so I invite you to visit our restaurant and try our creations.
