The famous Rheinsteig, one of the most well-known long-distance hiking trails in Europe, runs on the opposite side of the Rhine along the same connecting axis and is also easily accessible from our hotel. These well-known hiking trails lead along varied paths through vineyards, forests, romantic castles, and over impressive viewpoints with wide views over the UNESCO World Heritage Upper Middle Rhine Valley.

In addition to these, numerous other premium hiking trails invite you to varied tours. Particularly popular are the Traumpfade, which impress with nature-oriented routes, high path quality, and spectacular panoramic views. The dream path Orchard Meadow Path impressively showcases the many facets of fruit cultivation in the Verbandsgemeinde Weißenthurm and the entire Neuwieder Basin. Limes UNESCO World Heritage

The Limes, once the border of the Roman Empire, stretches through large parts of the region, making hikes and excursions along the Middle Rhine not only scenically but also historically particularly exciting. A special example can be found on the Pulverberg above Bendorf: At the intersection of the Rheinsteig and Saynsteig, there stands a reconstruction of a Roman watchtower. It is part of the Upper Germanic-Rhaetian Limes, which has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2005 and is only 17 km away from our hotel.

Cable Car Koblenz

The Koblenz cable car is a unique connection between the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress and the Koblenz Rhine bank. The cable car can transport a maximum of 7,600 people in both directions, making it the highest capacity aerial cable car in the world per hour. Riding the cable car is an experience that offers entirely new perspectives on Koblenz, with the Deutsches Eck and the Rhine Valley.

Located directly on the Rhine, Neuwied combines relaxed Rhine romance with an exciting history. The charming city center, the lively promenade, and attractions such as the Neuwied Castle or the Roentgen Museum make the dike city a worthwhile destination. The Raiffeisen Bridge connects the cities of Neuwied and Weißenthurm. It was named after Friedrich Wilhelm Raiffeisen, the great Neuwied social reformer of the 19th century. It was ceremoniously inaugurated in 1978 as one of the most modern Rhine bridge constructions and opened to traffic. It is impressively visible from our rooftop terrace.
